Macklemore & Ryan Lewis have set the music charts on fire with their smash hit songs Thrift Shop and Can’t Hold Us. But the music duo are also outspoken LGBT advocates who have a beautiful pro same-sex marriage song called Same Love on that same album, The Heist.
At a recent Macklemore & Ryan Lewis concert at Sokol auditorium in Omaha, NE, Danielle Renae proposed to her girlfriend in front of the thousands of cheering concert goers. The video was shot on December 5th but was just recently uploaded to YouTube last month. Renae and her girlfriend were invited onstage by Macklemore, and Renae told the audience: “In front of everyone, I wanted everyone here to know that this beautiful woman right here is the love of my life. And as the love of my life, I would like to spend the rest of my life with you.“
As Renae dropped to one knee, the crowd erupted with cheers as she asked the big question to which her girlfriend gladly accepted with a beautiful kiss.
