You are about to embark on a journey through Peru and Bolivia in this beautiful stop-motion video by Polish artist Piotr Wancerz of Timelapse Media. Wancerz elaborate composite of 12,000 photos and video frames was shot over a three-week period during Piotr’s first trip to South America.
His model and traveling companion is seemingly standing still while moving through the breathtaking landscapes of South American which included locations like: Arequipa, Chivay, Colca Canyon, Cusco, Huacachina, Ica, Laguna Colorada, La Paz, Lima, Machu Picchu, Puno, Salar de Uyuni, Solar de Manana geysers, Termas de Polques and Valles de Rocas.
“It was not as precise as it looks — it was a lot of work in post-production,” said Wancerz in an interview with website RightThisMinute. “Of course, I tried to put her into the same place, but it wasn’t as perfect as I wanted it to be. Each scene took me about 10 to 15 minutes [to shoot]. It wasn’t easy because it had to be frame-by-frame, but it was possible to do.”
The video is set to the music of Soundroll’s “Mexican Song.” Video and screenshot courtesy Timelapse Media, Piotr Wancerz
