Florida High School Principal Suspends Sean Cody Model For Gay Porn Work, He Can’t Graduate Now

Cocoa High School (CHS) senior and Sean Cody model “Noel,” has allegedly been suspended and will not be allowed to graduate from his Florida high school, after several of his gay porn videos made their way to his principal’s desk.

A reddit poster, who identified himself as the cousin of Noel’s classmate, shared details about the suspension and the student support he received:

Anyway, my cousin is a schoolmate with the model who plays Noel. Apparently this last week word got out around the school that he was in gay porn. He got severely bullied and, instead of helping him, the school will not let him graduate due to him causing a “campus disturbance”. They suspended him for 10 days, which leads to an automatic FA (failure from absences).

Several students planned to protest by wearing support shirts, making posters, and skipping a class. The principle is threatening to automatically expel any student who joins in.

I am still very closeted, and it hurts to hear friends and family think this guy is a sick and disturbed person by being in gay porn.

We were able to find “Noel’s” public Facebook account and can confirm he was indeed suspended from CHS. On Friday, he responded to a friend on facebook by saying: “Coming back to Cocoa isn’t the best for me but bringing justice to the disciplinary system and discrimination of the administration has not slipped my mind either!

Hundreds of Cocoa High School students have changed their Facebook profile pictures to a blue image with the word “Support” and then Noel’s actual first name.

As word of Noel’s suspension spread like wildfire through the school, a campaign to protest and show their support for their beloved schoolmate began.

Many showed their support by skipping 7th period on Friday and stomping and shouting his name:

Some even confronted their school’s principal, letting Dr. Stephanie Soliven (This is her email [email protected]) know they did not approve of her decision to suspend Noel:

One redditor summed up the problem with the suspension perfectly:

A public high school is required to accept all students within its attendance boundaries and while it can suspend or expel students for disciplinary problems, it cannot punish students for lawful activities. For example, high schools cannot punish students for drinking or smoking in property not owned by the school district provided the students are abiding by federal, state, and local law as well as any lawful restrictions imposed by the property owner.

From what it sounds like, the school is punishing “Noel” for participating in a lawful activity which some of the students, faculty, and staff don’t believe he should legally be allowed to do. The latter isn’t “Noel”‘s problem and it’s the [public] school’s job to make sure that he is not harassed during the time he is on school property or participating in school sponsored activities.

Assuming this is a public school, the ACLU will likely want to get involved and the school could possibly be sued for violating the Equal Protection clause of the 14th Amendment. As there is no requirement that one be gay/bi to work in gay porn, any lack of a nondiscrimination policy concerning sexual orientation should not be an issue.

Do you think Noel’s constitutional rights were violated? Let us know below.

Major Update 1/21 1:30pm EST: The Gaily Grind has confirmed that Noel will be returning to school tomorrow. The Brevard School District denies both “Noel” and his mother’s on camera statements to WKMG, that he was “expelled” by his principal because of his gay porn career. Read more HERE.

I think that the principal may find that she is wrong in this case and that the young man has a case against her and the school board. Does it have that policy on its books? No? Then the young man is reinstated with full credits.

    Back off morons.

The retro active actions of the principle are bullshit! I honestly fail to see how any of this has caused a “campus disturbance” let alone where any of this is ANY of the schools business. There are way to many other types of incidences that would be a “campus disturbance” besides the personal business of “Noel”.

I would like to see his body of work providing he is 18 years old, after all, he should be someone to be proud of for utilzing his talents in his chosen profession. Further, as adults we all know and most of us have viewed simular materials and never gave it a thought. Grow up CHILDREN and at least PRETEND to be roll models for your students, and rather than suspend this GENTLEMAN, respect and HONOR his tenasity!

Campus disturbance my ass. What he does off campus is none of their concern. This hardly constitutes disruption of campus/school environment of activities, unless the principle lets it get under skin

Simply put, they’re violating his constitutional rights. They’re throwing out the charter of every public school in America with the bath water as well. Not that politics has anything to do with this, but I’ll wager the principal is a Republican; they’re very used to telling all the rest of us about their devotion to the Constitution…unless they don’t like or disagree with something. Go Noel…get with the ACLU and take this forward!

He’s only in high school? I thought he looked a little young, but damn! “Noel” won’t be the first Sean Cody model to have gotten in trouble for appearing on the website. I’m sure my thoughts won’t be popular, but here they go; people need to be a lot more careful when deciding to model for porn sites.

These aren’t the old days where you only had to worry about an uncle stumbling across your pic in a nudie mag. Pictures that appear on the web are, for the most part, on there forever. Sean Cody, in particular, has pictures of models going back for many years.

As sad as I find the bullying, it’s not surprising for high school boys. At an age when many are trying to define their masculinity, a fellow student (who is probably straight as many gay porn models are) bottoming bareback is going to be subject to harassment. And, since this is a site that posts a preview video, and numerous preview stills without a password, there’s no doubt that a lot of people have seen the images.

Again, appearing in porn can have severe consequences, both for females (a woman recently lost her job teaching Spanish after her students found her Playboy pics) and males. Hopefully, the thousands of dollars he made was worth it.

I went to cocoa high , I dropped out & went to Adult Ed because cocoa high is such a fucked up school , excuse me . I know him personally & have been his friend forever . That school needs to realize that what they did was messed up . This was the last straw for the students because many things have happened like this . I was part of the protest & think that this is what Cocoa High needed to WAKE THE FUCK UP . Racist is the definition of that school .

This is funny because he’s not gay, needed money for family, and this articles point of view is in support of gays, and what it really has to do with is the fact that the student is related explicit content that shouldn’t and isn’t allowed on school grounds, just like if a students phone was recovered during class and a staff member discovered child pornogrophy on the phone, even if he is 18 the student still should not have participated in porn wether it be gay, straight or bi pornogrophy

Was he handing out dvd copies of his porn film on school grounds? I think not!

My son goes to school with this young man,was on the same swim team too this school year.My son is 12 in 7th grade .I personally feel he is a very nice young man.His choice to be in gay porn is his.He is respectful and cares about his grades ,I hope he can graduate.Yes ,this has been quite a topic to discuss with my son..

  11. Jennifer on January 21, 2014

Shame on any of you who blame this young man for what has happened to him. Whether his family needed the money or he simply wanted to participate in porn, gay or straight, as long as he is of legal age it is his business – and HIS ALONE.

To all the self-loathing bullies out there who gave him a hard time about it, I hope someone goes Carrie on your stupid asses. The principal should be indefinitely dismissed from her position & be stripped of her “Doctor” title for abusing her position. This is what happens when we put morons in positions of authority in our schools. I’d have suspended every last one of the children, because young adults is far too generous a term, who bullied him instead.

I go to cocoa high and “noel” and I have been in the same class since we were in 5th grade. He is an amazing person and has done nothing wrong. I have stood by him this whole way and it tares me up inside to know that our school principal has turned her back to this. She claims to be so understanding and “they take every action possible to stop bullying” when she is being a bully herself by allowing all this to happen and kicking him (the victim) out of school. “Noel” is a hard working, dedicated senior and deserves to graduate with our class of 2014 more than any of us do. It’s not like he was spreading his news around the school, the students bullying him were the ones who made it a mission to ruin his life with this. Us the students are going to do what ever we can to get him back. He has many standing beside him and the students are going toe to toe with administration to show that we do not agree with their actions and will not stand for them to brush another student under the rug like they have done to many others. We are supposed to be the voice of that school but our principle doesn’t want to hear anything we have to say. All we want is for him to be able to graduate with his class because it is all each and everyone of us have been fighting for.

Not so surprised… last year when my niece was being teased the councillor asked her if she was gay. when she told him she was he called her mother and told her! I can only imagine what might have happened in some odd the less accepting households… then to top it off he told my sister that my niece wasn’t old enough to know what she was and that it was a phase! ridiculous

The principle is trying to make students leave cocoa high right now.

I hope this family can take the school down. Your alternatives will be the Alternative learning center (thug school, kids wear ankle trackers), flvs or home school. My daughter was suspended from mihs, next town from cocoa. She got caught with a pocket knife in her purse. She had taken it out of her truck to open boxes of tape in the training room on a wed night. Well 1st period the next day she was taken out of class and her purse searched it was stil in her bag. We had our administrative hearing and she cannot return to Merritt Island but is not expelled. They wanted her to finish er senior year at the thug school where they were teaching her stuff from 8th grade. We now homeschool.

  17. Allison on January 21, 2014

Just fyi my daughter is not perfect. She was stupid to have it in her bag. Yet she has never been in trouble. Was on student coucil and part of the yearbook. She was also the jr. Athletic trainer for 3 years. Brevard county school suck. Rules do not apply to the bad kids they just kick out or remove those who mess up once. Cant wait to move out of this screwed up state.
