Grindr Gives “T” Emoji The Boot After Concern It Was Promoting Crystal Meth

Just days after Grindr has launched it’s new range of custom gay emojis, the popular gay hook-up app has dropped the “T” emoji after users voiced concern that it could stand for crystal meth.

When the collection of emoji’s debuted last week, many users were confused as to what the letter “T” stood for.

Some users speculated the emoji stood for “tea” while some thought it stood for “top”, but many believed it stood for Tina, a slang term for crystal meth.

Ultimately, Grindr decided to drop the letter without comment.
