Former Teen Wolf star Colton Haynes has opened up about the night he lost his virginity in a new interview with Andy Cohen on his Sirius XM radio show Andy Cohen Live Monday.
“I lost my virginity at 13 to a girl and a guy,” the 28-year-old Arrow alum said, explaining that it was on two separate occasions and not a threesome. “I’ve never said that before. The girl was two years older than me, and the guy was, I would say, around 16… Everyone participated. It was a real first time. It was exciting.”
Haynes said that he slept with both women and men throughout his high school years.
He added that he had come out to himself as gay at age 14.
Once he moved to Hollywood, he said he was pressured to stay in the closet, saying it was like a “Tab Hunter situation.”
“I was literally told from the day that I moved to Los Angeles that I could not be gay because I wouldn’t work,” he said. “My management team told me I couldn’t be this way and they tried to set me up with girls… It was horrible.”
Haynes added that after suffering from a series of panic attacks due to the mounting pressure to hide his true self, he eventually made the agonizing decision to come out in May 2016.
A year later, he fell in love with celebrity florist Jeff Leatham and the couple would go on to get engaged in March 2017.
